Welcome to Formenos!

This website is predominantly dedicated to my hobbies, which in my vanity, I think might be of interest to other people. Other than the most important part of living, i.e.: family, some of the most important things in my life, in no particular order are: karate; role-playing games; critical thinking; science; and fantasy & science fiction literature.

Why "Formenos"?

Because Formenos is the citadel home of the greatest Eldar to have ever existed. Greatest by any measure, ever to exist, within the bounds of Eä. I am talking, of course, of Fëanor. Those of you who take an alternate view, that is to say, that there was another Eldar greater than Fëanor, you are wrong. Period! You can quibble and jabber as much as you like.  Fëanor was the greatest at almost everything. Just accept it! After all Tolkien should know and here's what he wrote about this mighty being:

and the Hiding of Valinor
...For Fëanor was made the mightiest in all parts of body

and mind, in valour, in endurance, in beauty, in understanding, in skill,

in strength and in subtlety alike, of all the Children of Ilúvatar...

Now, he had a temper, for sure, but no one is perfect, right? But there can be no debate. Fëanor was the greatest and most powerful of all the Children of Ilúvatar that ever lived.
